Meet Lumi and Finx: The New Mythic Brawlers

Finx: Master of Time Control

First, let’s spotlight Finx, the master of time manipulation! Our Null’s Brawl team is excited to implement his unique ability to slow down and speed up projectiles on the battlefield. This temporal mechanic introduces entirely new strategic possibilities that will revolutionize how you approach each match.

  • Main Attack (Chronocast): Fires 3 long-range projectiles, with outer ones dealing 50% of the center projectile’s damage.
  • Super (Time Warp): Decreases enemy projectile speed while increasing teammate projectile speed .
  • Star Powers: “Primer” increases Super duration when damage is dealt from sped-up projectiles. “Hieroglyph Halt” reduces reload speed of enemies hit by main attack.
  • Gadgets: “Back to the Fixture” returns to previous position and ammo state. “No Escape” freezes enemies but makes them damage-immune

Adding Finx to Null’s Brawl introduces entirely new strategic possibilities that will revolutionize how you approach each match!

Lumi: Dual-Damage Rockstar

Then there’s Lumi, the rock drummer from the “Nightmare Mansion” trio who’s about to turn up the volume in Null’s Brawl! With her innovative dual-damage mechanic, she can hurt enemies both when throwing AND retrieving her drumsticks. The Null’s Team is working diligently to ensure her complex combat logic functions flawlessly in our version.

  • Main Attack (Good Morning… Star): Throws morning stars that can be recalled to deal damage in both directions.
  • Super (Blast Beat): Pounds the ground three times causing explosions with the third one snaring enemies.
  • Star Powers: “42% Burnt” sets Super areas on fire for additional damage. “Half-Time” slows enemies hit by recalled morning stars.
  • Gadgets: “Hit the Lights” ignites morning stars on ground to produce damaging flames. “Grim and Frostbitten” creates slippery freezing surfaces around morning stars

How Is the Star Player Determined?

Many of you have asked about how the Star Player is selected in matches. Here’s an inside look at the approximate formula:

sum = (1000 * kills) – (200 * deaths) – (200 * gems_lost) + (3000 * ball_goals) + (0.1 * damage_0) + (0.2 * taking_ticks) + (0.5 * damage_1) + N

Where:

  • kills — number of enemy Brawlers defeated.
  • deaths — number of times the player died.
  • gems_lost — number of gems lost.
  • ball_goals — number of goals scored in Brawl Ball.
  • damage_0 — damage dealt to enemy Brawlers or the Siege IKE turret.
  • damage_1 — damage dealt to the safe in Heist.
  • taking_ticks — increases every 50ms based on held items and position.

This system ensures that the most impactful player receives proper recognition!
