Null’s Brawl v70.648 Update With Thunder Frogs, Rey, Ruby, Ranked Rework and Brawlidays

The last big Null’s Brawl update of 2026 is on the way, and it is a packed one. Supercell revealed it in the latest Brawl Talk: three new Brawlers in Thunder Frogs, Rey and Ruby, a full Ranked rework built for competitive players, six new Buffies, Hypercharges for Cosmo and Vince, a wave of new game modes, and the return of Brawlidays. Because Null’s Brawl always follows the official release, this content is not live on the private server yet. It usually lands about two weeks after Supercell ships it, so right now the best move is to know exactly what is coming so you are ready on day one. Here is everything you need to know about Null’s Brawl v70.648.

Update Status: Coming Soon

Null’s Brawl v70.648 is not live on the private server yet. As always, the private server release follows the official Brawl Stars update, and new content usually takes around two weeks to arrive on Null’s Brawl after it launches in Brawl Stars. The new Brawlers also roll out in stages on the official timeline: Thunder Frogs arrive in November, while Rey and Ruby follow in December with the Brawlidays season, and Null’s Brawl will mirror that order. When the update goes live here, every Brawler, skin, and reward is unlocked from the start, exactly as you expect from Null’s Brawl. New Brawler: Thunder Frogs (Legendary Artillery)

Thunder Frogs are the newest members of Ziggy’s trio and the first Legendary Artillery Brawler in the game. They are three frogs, Zap, Zee and Volt, but they count as one Brawler. On stage they are Ziggy’s assistants, the ones making the magic happen behind the scenes, and in battle they bring some electric tricks of their own.

Null's Brawl Thunder Frogs Brawler

Thunder Frogs Aspect

  • Their main attack is one of the most unusual in Brawl Stars. You place the frogs in different spots, and when they land they form an electric link that damages every enemy inside the triangle between them, with the sides of the triangle hitting harder than the center. Good placement turns the whole triangle into a no-go zone.
  • Their Super merges all three frogs into one big frog that jumps three times, dealing area damage on every landing. Damage is highest at the center, and the third jump travels farther than the first two, so you can finish a push or escape with the last hop.
  • Thunder Frogs also arrive with their own Hypercharge: the third jump creates an electric attack linking every spot the big frog landed on, just like the main attack’s triangle but on a much larger scale. Thunder Frogs release in November.

New Brawlers: Rey and Ruby (The First Synergy Brawlers)

Rey and Ruby are a couple from Toyland, and they are the first Brawlers whose abilities synergize when they are on the same team. Both arrive in December, and during the Brawlidays season you can pick either Rey or Ruby for free.

Rey & RubyBrawlers Null's Brawl

Rey Aspect

  • Rey is the king of Toyland and uses every fight as a chance to impress Ruby. When he aims, he places a mark on the enemy that builds the longer the target stays in his sight, and a higher mark means more damage. His Super works the same way: he gets a window to aim at enemies and fires at whoever he has in sight, gains a shield while doing it, and can fire early by using the Super again. His Hypercharge reveals enemies who are invisible or hiding in bushes and applies a stronger mark to them. With Ruby on his team, his main attack heals her and he walks faster when moving toward her.

Ruby Aspect

  • Ruby is the queen of Toyland, the one who decides how every game is played and makes sure every rule is honored. Her kit is built on playing cards and their suits. Her main attack throws a club and a diamond, and if both hit the same enemy at once, they deal bonus damage. Her Super creates an area that grounds enemies and summons swirling shots that keep damaging on hit, which makes her strong against tanks. Her Hypercharge makes that area larger and spreads the swirling shots. With Rey on her team, her main attack heals him and she moves faster when walking toward him.

Ranked Rework: Everything That Changes

The Ranked rework is the core of this update, built for competitive players who want a fairer and clearer ladder.

New Pick and Ban Phase

  • The pick and ban phase now shows far more Brawlers at once, with filters and a search option. Quick chat makes it easier to coordinate with teammates, you can swap turns during the pick phase, and you can suggest bans, including a whole class instead of a single Brawler. The preparation screen also gets a visual refresh that shows your Skin, more loadout options, and the option to use Pins before the match starts.

Smarter Ranked Points and Match Stats

  • After every match you now get a much more detailed stats screen, so a strong individual game is easy to see. Ranked points also reward how you win: a dominant 2-0 win gives more, and a close 2-1 loss costs less.

All Other Ranked Changes

Only Power Level 11 Brawlers can be played in Ranked. Diamond now needs 12 Brawlers, the same as Mythic, and free maxed Brawlers increase from three to six. Ranked now unlocks at 5,000 Trophies instead of 1,000. There is a new Play Again option, the season reset now drops you 2 ranks instead of 6, no teams are allowed in Masters and above, and matchmaking is tighter from Mythic 1 upward. Spectating now covers the whole best of three instead of one match, and the Battle Log shows the stats screen and banned Brawlers.

Seasonal Battle Cards

Ranked also gets limited-time seasonal Battle Cards inspired by wolves, tigers, dragons and deer. New designs are planned every year, and they get slightly cooler each time you reach the same rank in a different season.

New Hypercharges for Cosmo and Vince

Both Brawlers from the previous update get their first Hypercharges. Cosmo’s Hypercharge, Cosmic Capture, makes his hyper projectile home in on its target and root it for 2 seconds, so a marked enemy has even less chance to escape. Vince’s Hypercharge, Bug Swarm, keeps his Super always at max power and releases Hypercharged caterpillars around him.

Buffies: Six Brawlers Reworked

  • This update brings Buffies to two trios, with reworked Gadgets and Star Powers and a new Hyperbuffie for each Brawler.

The Snowtel Gang: Mr. P, Lou, Gale

Mr. P’s Buffied Service Bell shields both him and his porter, his Buffied Porter Reinforcements spawn an extra porter for each enemy hit, and his Hyperbuffie makes his suitcase bounce more times. Lou’s Ice Block can now be cancelled early, and when Buffied it also creates a freezing area that damages nearby enemies, while his Hyperbuffie leaves a slippery area behind his main attack. Gale’s North Wind Wall now throws a temporary wall that redirects enemy projectiles, his Blustery Blow deals damage when it stuns, and his Hyperbuffie fires an extra-large snowball right after his main attack.

The Candyland Trio: Mandy, Chester, Berry

Mandy’s Caramelize slows harder the closer the target is, and Buffied it gives her a speed boost based on how strong the slow was. Her Hyperbuffie keeps her Focused for the whole Hypercharge, even while moving, and zooms the camera out for more vision. Chester can now hide a Jack-in-the-Box that explodes to fear, slow, or damage enemies, and his Hyperbuffie doubles the number of bells he throws at slightly lower damage each. Berry’s Secret Formula now throws longer-lasting ice cream that grows as you add to it, his Sticky Toppings make his main attack slow enemies, and his Hyperbuffie splits his main attack in two, leaving two small puddles.

New Game Modes

Mega Showdown: 20 players battle it out in Showdown on a bigger map, taking down bosses and robots for Power Cubes, with a mini-map to plan your next move.

  • Counterlight: a two-turn mode where one team plants blue lights on the red side, then the other team does the same with red lights. The faster team wins.
  • Loaded Showdown: returns with many more items, including faster reload, life steal, an attack range buff, and a UFO that flies over walls.
  • Super Hockey: Hockey with a wacky Goalie.
  • Drumroll and Present Plunder return as fan-favorite reruns, with Drumroll swapping your Brawler every time you take someone down.
Null’s Brawl v70 Update With Thunder Frogs, Rey, Ruby, Ranked Rework and Brawlidays

Brawlidays and Jingle Brawls

Brawlidays is back in December with an advent calendar, new holiday skins, and a free choice of Rey or Ruby. It also brings Jingle Brawls, the Christmas version of Topple the Tower: you win games through multiple stages with a limited Brawler pool, Look For Team now works in the mode, and the pool favors your highest Trophy Brawlers.

New Skins: Brawl Vice and Brawlidays

The Brawl Vice season is inspired by crime-city action games. Brawl Vice Bull (with Brawl Vibes Bull and City Streets Bull chromas) and Crime Pays Poco (with Player Hating Poco and Game Hating Poco chromas) headline the Brawl Pass, joined by Undercover Buzz, Undercover Pierce, Black Market Barley and City Days Emz.

Brawlidays brings Santa Squeak (with Frosty Squeak and Elf Squeak chromas) and Nutcracker Draco (with Royal Nutcracker Draco and Candy Nutcracker Draco chromas), plus Snowball Bolt, Gingerbread Starr Nova, Brawlidays Pam and Delivery Elf Jessie. Outside the seasons, Toon Mortis and Steamboat Penny bring classic cartoon styles, World Finals Clancy arrives from a Supercell MAKE concept, Leon and Max get new esports chromas (HMBLE and Crazy Raccoon), and Starr Patrol Bibi is the next Pro Skin.

Pins, Sprays and Quality of Life

You get more Pin slots and more ways to use Pins and Sprays in battle. You can set a general Pin selection or one per Brawler, see your full collection more clearly, and tell at a glance whether a cosmetic is exclusive. There are also automatic Pins that trigger when a match starts, when you win, or when you take down three Brawlers without being defeated. Team chat gets small improvements too.
